Honestly it depends on what you getting. They limit you on the specialty items (the harame, and the secret pot) to one per person. You could eat enough for them to lose money, but it be alot.
There are lunch specials but no bento boxes. This is a place that has a grill at every table and the raw meat is brought to out on plates for the guest to cook themselves.
That's funny about Mcdonalds Don. It is hit or miss on the place having a bad experience or a good experience. I think it kind of depends upon when you go, but the wait staff typically wants to help. The menu should be on the website however it changes seasonally like every other month or so.
This place is excellent, I just wish it was a bit cheaper. We'd be there much more often if that was the case
One of my new favourites ! We had a Groupon voucher for today and as it was our first time, we didn't expect it would be this great ! The food was delicious. We ordered Ramen, Korean Pancake, all sorts of meat, Gyoza (handmade ! Mouthwatering !) And bimbimbap. The service was outstanding, quick to help us out and always with a smile ^^
The food and beef were great! But it's all the same and there is not alot of varity in flavours.
The portion was reasonably okay. And beef quality is also to standard.
Had a lovely meal 2 months ago. Though it says 750gr is for 3-4p, 2-3p is a better indicator. We made use of a groupon deal with 4/5variaties of wagyu and 1 iberico. As an extra we ordered premium a5 wagyu from Gunma =Japan) as comparison. It was SO good. Only premium dishes are from japan in the a5/top range. The rest is a bit lower on the marbling but still good. Staff was very welcoming. Looking forward to a future return.
One of the few places where Japanese wagyu can be eaten. We got A5 kalbi wagyu instead of the A4 written on the menu. Prices are reasonable for the quality meat. Highly recommended.
Had the mega wagyu combination which is meant for 5-6 persons (but 3-4 persons would be a better indication) Korean pancake and the kalbi soup. The pancake and soup were bland. The beef was ok to good and the staff was very friendly. We made use of a Groupon, if we would've paid the original price I would deduct 1 star.
A very good place to eat, only if you really like beef though. The selection of food is very small and consists only of beef with some side dishes. But the beef you get is the cream de la cream, the best of the best, especially the tsubozuke (marinated). It's tenderness is mind blowing and the flavor is tongue melting. This all does come at a price though. Except to be paying about 40 to 80 euros per adult
Great Yakiniku style place. Super friendly staff. The location is totally inconspicuous, you can pass it by ten times without noticing it. Meat is great quality. One thing I did not like was that we ordered some pickled cabbage and they seem to have run out and replaced it with fresh salted cabbage...
Great food, great staff.. love it.. bit too expensive unfortunately
Delicious but very pricy as you also need to order some sides to be able to be full.
Very good service and the wagyu was amazing!!!
Amazing quality! Authentic Japanese barbecue place. Everything was served beautifully. They provide A4 wagyu beef as well. Definitely not to miss out when there are special events on the fork for discounts.
Not bad, not the best. Quality of the meat is good.
Delicious wagu beef.
Charming staff and excellent meat create a good setting for an interactive dinner. If you are a meat lover, you will love this place. Leave your vegan friends home and enjoy the various types of beef and spice them up with Korean and Japanese side dishes. And then order again. It's the kind of place you easily build up a serious bill, and you'll realize that good food is worth it. My favorite to close it up is the Cherry blossom brownie with matcha ice cream (ask for that flavor). Enjoy!
I will let the pictures to speak for themselves. Absolutely stunning!
The best Japanese food I ate so far in Europe
Finally, decent yakiniku place in NL. Super good quality, charming staff, reasonably priced. Reservation recommended.
Juicy meat! However, not marinated andsometimes you have to wait long before your dishes arrive.
Nice food, very friendly staff, recommend ðŸ‘
Perfect and friendly service and really tasty meats. Great ambiance
Such good wagyu restaurant!
Delicious food, great service and gezellig atmosphere.
Good quality of food; reasonable price; good service; nice ambiance; Overall, I would recommend it to any meat lovers.
Friendly staff, intimate.
Amazing restaurant, from the meats to the choice of wine/sake
Very nice experience! Friendly staff and the meat was really good. I dont recommend a lot of restaurants but this is one of the few that I will recommend. The prices are good compared to what they give you in return. I was there with the Groupon deal and we had 800gram meat for me and my girlfriend. Prices can get high but the meat is definitely worth it. (I am a meat lover) Also ordered some side dishes. The restaurant is not really big but small and cozy. Make sure u have a reservation when you want to go for dinner. The restaurant is very populair by the local japanese community.
High quality authentic Japanese bbq. The meat is excellent but I also loved the side dishes and drinks :) recommend making reservation beforehand
BBQ was nice but felt quite a bit for not a lot. I went here for lunch before this particular visit and the rice, steak, and salad dish was absolutely amazing. For me the evening meal here didn't quite live up to the first experience. I'm sad to see that the opening hours have changed and they are not doing those lunch meals anymore. It was May main reason for going back!
This is by far the best Japanese I have eaten sofar in/near Amsterdam. The service is super friendly. Don't come here for a cheap and quick meal. They serve the proper Wagyu beef and it is just delicious. Large Asahi beers and good Sake. Will certainly come back.
Amazing food and great service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Yakiniku (Japanese barbecue) restaurant. The quality of the meat was very good. Bibibap was also excellent. Service was great and very attentive. We really enjoyed our dinner here. Quality comes with a price, a dinner for 2 with a combination meat platter, bibibap, a side dish, dessert and beer came just under 100 €, but we found the price more than fair for the quality. Strongly recommended for those looking for authentic Japaneses food, and meat lovers.
Salads are a rip off but meat is ok. Some cuts are too cheap and you can taste that. Go for the expensive kinds and you will love it. They should improve the cleaning of the glasses. They all looked dirty and we had to ask for other glasses. These arrived dirty as well.
Visited this recently and enthousiastic staff with good japanse BBQ, yeah.
Feels like eating in Japanese authentic Yakiniku-ya (Japanese grilled meat restaurant). High quality Japanese beef.
Authentic Japanse BBQ. Good quality and very polite service!
Excellent food and great value!I was dining with my brother and two friends during my bachelors trip to Amsterdam and really loved the Korean Grill experience. The prices were very reasonable and the staff was very friendly (patiently answering all questions). We have ordered the Wagyu Rib-eye Steak, Premium Wagyu Kalbi, Wagyu Kalbi, Wagyu Spring Roll, and the Wagyu & Tonkotsu Ramen (same order as the pictures). The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is the location - located in the outskirts of Amsterdam, a taxi till cost you about 25 euros and ~25 min from Amsterdam central, or about 10 euros and ~40 min with public transportation. If you like special cuts of beef & specifically Wagyu - very recommended!
Authentic Japanese Wagyu. The food was amazing and the staff very nice. Follow the recommendations, you won't regret it. Definetly a repeat!
My wife and I have been to this restaurant a couple of times now and it just keeps getting better! This time we went there to celebrate her birthday and the very friendly staff surprised her with a handmade card and a personal note. They also provided a special non alcoholic sparkling drink as they know she does not drink. I enjoy the occasional sake and they serve a very nice 'house' version. Kanata also stocks a variety of other high grade sake's.The main event is the Japanese BBQ and the menu boasts a large selection of great quality beef and other goodies. We went for a sharing platter and added a few of our favourites like fried garlic, corn on the cob and extra rib-eye. Everything is presented beautifully and you can tell the chef knows his business. The front of house ladies are very attentive, friendly and super polite but not at all distant so you feel right at home. We will be back!
Great variety of meat. Always a nice experience because of the great service.
An absolute delight. Went with friends and had a wonderful time trying the different kinds of meat and drinks. An authentic experience in Amsterdam that's easily accessible by public transportation.
Great authentic Japanese style restaurant, with the atmosphere of being in Tokyo. Good selection of beef and vegetables which you have to cook yourself on the Japanese style grill, located at every table.
Coming home to Japan! Amazed by the quality and food. Also very authentic because of japanese waiters. Prices are not cheap, but worth the experience.
Great Wagyu BBQ + great service!
